We’ve officially launched the agentic version of Ichi for all users! You’ll now see it available as “Agent Mode” in the prompt box, and it’s turned on by default.
This is a major leap forward—Agent Mode brings significantly more power and intelligence to everything you do in Ichi, whether it’s code research, work product generation, document navigation, or complex multi-step tasks that combine all of the above.
This is just the beginning. We’re actively working on more improvements under the hood—like smarter parallelization and new techniques that drive even higher-quality, more reliable responses. And as this foundation matures, it’ll power the upcoming launch of workflows for even greater automation.

We made great progress on prompt saving and sharing, and it's now in limited testing. This upcoming feature will make it easier to reuse great prompts, collaborate across teams, and build a knowledge library of best practices. Stay tuned—it’s rolling out to everyone soon!
Development is moving fast on our workflow engine, which will bring Ichi’s automation capabilities to an entirely new level. It’s already showing amazing results, and while there’s more to build, we’re thrilled by the potential and progress so far.
We shipped a set of front-end performance upgrades that make Ichi feel much snappier—especially in channels with long histories or high activity. Whether you’re on desktop or mobile, you should notice faster loading and smoother performance.
We’ve begun building the infrastructure to support “non-code-like” documents inside Ichi’s Codex—things like municipal amendments, planning documents, and more. These don’t follow the same structure as traditional code books, so we’re developing a structured ingestion and referencing method to ensure high-quality, trustworthy results. More to come here soon!
